A-larm is a nationwide organization for users and next of kin in the field of substance use.
The organization was established in 1995 and is not affiliated with any religious groups or political parties. Our regional offices are responsible for our day-to-day operations. They manage and implement A-larm’s daily activities for users and next of kin.
In our work, we emphasize both professional and experience-based knowledge. Our staff therefore consists of individuals with both professional and personal experience as users or next of kin. At A-larm, experience and expertise go hand in hand.

Our regional offices offer, among other things:
• support groups based on self-help ideology and recovery, activity groups and drop-in services
• mentoring and peer support, which involves one-on-one follow-up, with a strong emphasis on self-help principles
